Tips In Preventing Athletes Foot

For people who suffer from a skin condition such as athlete’s foot, there is nothing more frustrating than to see the ugly remnants of the infection on the skin not to mention the itchiness and foul odor it brings.

Characterized by itching and burning sensation in the feet, athlete’s foot can also result to skin peeling, cracking, and extreme pain along with bleeding or redness of the foot soles.

Athlete’s foot usually occurs when the feet or other areas of the body stay moist and warm and eventually becomes irritated with fungus. This skin condition can also be acquired when a person has direct contact with the objects or persons infected by the fungus.

WHEN PREVENTION BECOMES THE ULTIMATE SOLUTION

Tinea pedis or athlete’s foot is considered as a fungal infection of the skin of the feet. A skin infection in the foot caused by a fungus known as trichophyton, athlete’s foot can be a major skin condition if it’s not treated and prevented early. It is best to visit a dermatologist or podiatrist to cure the problem before it gets worse.

If you are advised by the physician to use medication-either topical or oral-make sure that you educate yourself about the proper prevention of athlete’s foot to keep it from being recurrent. These simple rules of good hygiene can keep you away from the persistent fungi that cause athlete’s foot:

1. Bear in mind the importance of washing. Washing your feet with soap and water often and drying them properly-especially the toe webs-can eliminate the moist and warm areas where the fungus thrive. Make sure that your feet is dry before you get into your running shoes. After taking a bath or washing your feet, get a towel and wipe the moisture off. Don’t forget to dry the spaces in between those toes.

2. Avoid wearing footwear such as shoes, socks, slippers, or foot towels owned by another person. To avoid the spread of infection, don’t wear someone else’s footwear especially if the person already suffers from athlete’s foot. Wear cotton socks all the time as these help in absorbing much of the sweat and moisture in your feet thereby preventing the growth of the fungi. Don’t use those socks again! Change them often. Throw them into the laundry bin after use. A fresh pair of socks can help in preventing athlete’s foot from occurring.

3. Choose shoes that are made from natural materials such as leather. Whenever possible, don’t wear footwear made from synthetic materials such as rubber shoes daily because it suffocates your feet. Wear footwear that allows air circulation.

4. Keep your footwear properly ventilated by exposing it to air for at least a day before using it again. Make it a habit to always air out your rubber shoes after use so that it will be dry inside. This is especially true if you have used it for so long during the day and there is sweat inside.

5. Opt for open-toe shoes or sandals especially during warm or humid weather. Tight footwear is one of the major causes of athlete’s foot so make sure that you allow your feet to breathe.

6. Wear rubber sandals or water shoes when using public showers or locker rooms to avoid being infected with the fungus. When inside locker rooms or when walking by the poolside or anywhere moist, wear sandals. As mentioned above, going barefoot can be a real magnet for all kinds of bacteria and fungi.

7. Be meticulous about your socks. Make sure that you always wear clean and dry socks. If possible, choose white socks that are made out of cotton or acrylic so it can absorb extra moisture from your feet. If you’re prone to sweating, make sure that you bring along spare pairs of clean socks so you can change you’re your feet are soaked. Don’t wear colored to avoid irritation caused by the dyes.

8. Use your shoes alternately. Whenever possible, avoid wearing the same pair daily especially if you work out in a gym.

9. Use anti-fungal foot products such as powders and sprays to absorb extra sweat in your feet. These can also help eliminate the fungus and bacteria in your feet. Applying talc powder on your feet after every shower will help dry out the feet. It will also prevent it from sweating too much and becoming an environment that the fungi will love.

10. Keep your bathroom and shower floors always clean and disinfected.

Excess Vaginal Wetness – All You Need To Know

Many women and their male partners have a lot of questions on excess vaginal wetness…and usually during intimate relations.

What is normal wetness and what can you do about excess vaginal wetness? ..Read on and find out.

It is quite normal for a woman’s vagina to be generally moist Additionally, mucus is produced by the woman’s cervix all through her monthly cycle, and the nature of that mucus changes in response to her body’s hormone production.

These secretions can be more or less, can taste from sweet to salty to sour, and changes from thin to thicker mucus as well.

Every woman should know herself, and how her daily secretions are, and if indeed there is excess vaginal wetness.

However, in times of sexual stimulation, especially during the arousal phase, veins in the woman’s pelvis, vulva, and clitoris will begin to dilate and fill with blood.

This will gradually making the whole area feel flushed (known as vasocongestion). Now in the vagina, this swelling stimulates a kind of sweating, and produces a fluid that moistens the vaginal lips. This secretion will also moisten the entrance to the woman’s vagina, facilitating penetration.

In case your partner performs oral sex on you, the fluids you will feel will be both, as some normal woman-mucus and the excretion from sexual excitement.

Too Much or Not Enough?

It is a fact that too much wetness during sex reduces pleasure for both partners.

Women will lose greater stimulation along the vaginal walls, while men wont feel the ‘tight’ sensation almost all men love.

If a woman does not have enough wetness, then intercourse is painful for her and her partner, and thus unenjoyable.

There may be a medical reason why the woman is too wet, so she should see your doctor to be sure there is no infection, abnormalities, or other problem causing your excess wetness.

What to Do If There is Too Much Wetness?

There are a few practical solutions, and some work for some women, some do not for others. So if there is the problem of excess vaginal wetness, try one or more of the following solutions:

1. Try an antihistamine. This is in the over-the-counter cold remedies. This usually works, but use the ones that do not make your drowsy, unless you wish to be.

2. Have a drink or two before sex.

3. If it is allowed in your area, smoke before sex, and this can be cigarettes or something similar.

4. Try a vaginal irrigation before sex with plain cold water.

5. During sex, place a towel under the woman, and have a clean cloth or sponge ready. Try the simple blotting technique, and it will take up a great deal of the outside discharge.

6. Put the lady on her side during sex or try the doggy position…and this normally reverse the flow of sweat and mucus.

7. Specialty creams. There are some on the market, and must be used at the peril of the couple, as these usually do not work.

8. Change of diet. Often a major change of diet has an effect on such mucus and discharge, and can be beneficial. A vegetarian diet is said to regulate such phenomenon.

The Konov Principle

Whatever method used, it should be realized that there is a happy medium between too little and too much (excessive) vaginal wetness.

A perfect solution to this is to apply the Konov Principle of self-awareness, by drawing your consciousness into the vagina itself, and visualizing the optimum and healthy amount of wetness that is required.

Practice of this exercise is said to increase greatly the awareness of the vagina, and let a natural self-regulation occur.

Excessive vaginal wetness will become normal vaginal wetness.

How Excessive Perspiration Complicates Lives And Why You Sweat So Much

Sleep hyperhidrosis can affect anyone regardless of age, but it is more commonly seen in early adulthood (when sweat glands have become more active). Generally, sleep hyperhidrosis is safe, except that it causes distress and discomfort during sleep. It disrupts normal sleep patterns when one is frequently awakened due to drenched sleepwear and sheets. How does one know if excessive perspiration is actually caused by an underlying medical condition? Obviously, one sweats more in a warm environment, during exercise or in response to situations that elicit strong emotions situations that make them nervous, angry, embarrassed or anxious. Thus, diligent efforts should be taken in keeping the place cool, well ventilated, and clean. Wearing of cool, comfortable sleepwear is also important. Certain foods and drinks that trigger the body to perspire more should be avoided. It also helps to reduce stress, or if at all possible, stay away from stressful situations. Try to control or eliminate all these external factors first. If severe hot flashes still occur then, it should be wise to seek medical attention. If sweating gets out of control and become a source of distress and discomfort, several treatment options are available. There are some oral medications to choose from, but patients sometimes complain of certain side effects. Some experience dry mouth, drowsiness, and urinary retention. In the case of “hot flashes” caused by menopause, hormonal treatment will suffice to control the condition. There are also medical procedures that could help relieve the patient from this condition for more lasting results. A unique treatment is the use of electrical current (iontophoresis) to control the activity of the sweat glands. A device known as Drionic is used daily for seven days and results of the procedure last for up to one month. For chronic cases, surgical procedure will have to be done to remove some of the overactive sweat glands.

Tent Camping Tips On Avoiding The Irks Of Tent Camping

When people go on a tent camping trip, they already have a good idea of the things they do not want to do. This list can vary from person to person; however, there are a few things that most people would agree on are inconveniences. We have put together our list of tent camping irks and provided some tips on how to minimize them.

1. Comfort level with sleeping arrangement and tent space: For people who are used to sleeping on a queen or king-sized bed raised several feet of the ground, the prospect of sleeping on the ground in a body-sized sleeping bag with little head room to maneuver can be a little uncomfortable to say the least. Even if you are able to adjust sleeping lower to the ground in an area with less space, you still will often wake up with aches, pains and tired eyes from the inability of getting a quality night’s sleep. To help combat this, we recommend the following:

a. Cot or Air Mattress: Purchase a cot or an air mattress that will allow you to be raised off the ground by a couple of feet. This will make it easier to get up in the morning or in the middle of the night to use the restroom and, it will be closer in similarity to your sleeping arrangements at home.

b. Tent with room: Purchase a tent that allows for additional space, a large amount of head room and will allow you to stand up while changing. This will make you feel less claustrophobic and give you the ability to move around a little bit while you sleep without bumping into things.

c. Bring a set of ear plugs: A night in the woods can be a very peaceful experience; however, sometimes the insects or animals will make a racket that will prevent you from having a good night’s sleep. By using some ear plugs, you can block out this type of background noise and start the morning fully refreshed.

d. Fresh sleeping supplies: Try to keep a clean pair of sleeping clothes handy. Before you go to bed, it will be a welcome treat to be able to slip into some clean clothes that you have not spent the day sweating and working in.

2. Cooking: Everyone enjoys a well cooked meal. Few people enjoy the effort it takes to make one. If you are in this group, these tent camping tips may help:

a. Make simple meals: These meals should be ones that are easy to put together, have few ingredients, and can be made very quickly. For instance, pasta and rice dishes out of a box make for easy cooking.

b. Avoid the cooking: Purchase MREs or freeze-dried food instead. These are easy to use and the taste is similar to food you would get out of a can. If it is good enough for the military, it can be good for you too.

c. Eat out of a can: This requires very minimal cooking as it only needs to be poured into a pot or pan and set over the fire. Easy to accomplish, little setup time and fast to cook.

3. Cleaning Pots: Although some people find washing dishes and pots therapeutic, most see it as an unwanted chore that they would gladly put off. Here, are some tips to reduce the time of cleaning pots.

a. Use paper plates and cups: By using paper plates and cups you can reduce your cleanup by burning these after you use them. This will not help with the cleaning of the pots, but at least you will not have to also clean a mess kit.

b. Use your large pot: This large pot can be used as a pot and dish tub in which the other smaller pots and dishes can be cleaned in. This should make it easier to clean your pots and pans and reduce your supplies.

c. Make crude soap: A crude soap can be formed from animal grease and ashes. This will help make the cleanup easier by reducing your overall supplies and making use of materials readily available.

4. Dealing with Insects: People tend to enjoy seeing animal wildlife, but tend to enjoy dealing with insects a lot less. Here, are some tent camping tips on how to make the best of this situation:

a. Purchase Off and a fly swatter: Spray the general area of the campsite with Off or some other insect repellant and keep the fly swatter handy around the campfire. If flies are a large issue in your area, this will help keep them off your food and away from your campsite.

b. Blend into the environment: Wear clothes that match the environment. For instance, if in a forest, wear greens and browns. These are less likely to attract insects that bright colored shirts.

c. Scope out the area before setting up shop: Make sure you are not putting your tent down into or near a fire ant pile, hornets nest, or beehive. Some effort should be made to try to find a camping area that is not overrun by insects.

The main takeaway here is to get you to start thinking about what things you do not like to do while on a tent camping trip. Just by starting this process you will begin to think of ways to minimize those inconveniences. Remember the bottom line of any camping trip is that you should enjoy it. With a little pre-planning in this area, you can ensure that you do.

Beautiful Tips for Facial Hygiene

To make cream of roses

Take one pound of oil of sweet almonds, one ounce of spermaceti, one ounce of white wax, one pint of rose water, and two drachms of Malta rose or nerolet essence. Put the oil, spermaceti, and wax, into a well-glazed pipkin, over a clear fire, and when melted, pour in the rose water by degrees, and keep heating, till the compound becomes like pomatum. Now add the essence, and then put the cream into small pots or jars, which must be well covered with pieces of bladder, and soft skin leather.

Common almond paste

To make this paste, take six pounds of fresh al mounds, which blanch and beat in a stone mortar, with a sufficient quantity of rose water. Now add a pound of finely drained honey, and mix the whole well together. This paste, which is exceedingly good for the hands, is to be put into small pots for sale. If this paste gets dry, rub it up on a marble slab with rose water. To prevent this dryness, put about half a teaspoonful of this water on the top of each pot, before tying up.

Sweat and Body Odor

Perspiration, or sweat, comes from sweat glands that you’ve always had in your body. But thanks to puberty, these glands not only become more active than before, they also begin to secrete different chemicals into the sweat that has a stronger smelling odor. You might notice this odor under your arms in your armpits. Your feet and genitals might also have new smells.

Body Hair

Body hair in new places is something you can count on – again; it’s hormones in action. You may want to start shaving some places where body hair grows, but whether you do is up to you. Some guys who grow facial hair like to let it develop into a mustache and beard. Some girls may decide to leave the hair on their legs and under their arms as is. It’s all up to you and what you feel comfortable with.

Brush your tongue

After brushing your teeth and gums 2-3 times daily, rinse out your mouth and spit. With the remaining toothpaste in your mouth and brush, brush your tongue. Place brush on the back of your tongue and scrape forward. “Scrape” as much of your tongue as you can to significantly reduce, but maybe not eliminate, bad breath. If you have morning breath, do this prior to bed. If this doesn’t help, there might be other undiagnosed problems. Do this even if you think your breath doesn’t smell as prevention. Flossing also reduces oral bacteria and removes solid food particles to freshen breath. Research the newly discovered link between oral plaque buildup and clogged arteries.

Wash your hands after using the bathroom

Yes, you might think, “My genitals are clean so I don’t have to wash my hands.” Wash your hands anyway. If you want others to wash their hands after toileting, then you should wash yours. Some people do not even wash after defecating. This spreads foul germs on door handles and elsewhere.

Whenever possible, wash your hands and use a towel to dry them- use the towel to open the door to avoid more germs. Don’t set your purse on the floor or counter in a public restroom- you’ll transport germs around with you all day! Use a clean piece of toilet paper to flush, as you don’t know what was on the last person’s hand!

Toenail Fungus – Cures, Treatments and Tips

Million of Americans suffer from toenail fungus. Toenail fungus causes the nails to get thick and change color. Occasionally, they look crusty and bumpy, and at times, dark-green, yellow or brownish in appearance. The nails can curve inward at the sides and thicken considerably. A lot of times, the nails can feel painful and result in ingrown toenails. Diabetics, and those with a low immune systems have a greater chance of contracting a toenail fungus infection. Other people, such as the elderly, have an increased risk of getting toenail fungus. The risk of getting a toenail fungus infection increments with old age. Athletes, hikers, runners, backpackers, soccer, basketball and tennis players. Fungus matures and flourishes in warm moist areas such as closed toed shoes and non breathable clothing such as socks. There is an increases chance of infection for those with excessive sweating of their feet, known as hyperhidrosis.

What effective treatment options are available?

There are a number of treatments for onychomycosis. Forget about all those home remedy cures you find on the Internet. Most of them don’t work and leads to frustration without results. Your main goal should be to treat toenail fungus as soon as possible so it doesn’t spread to other nails and other people. Yes, toenail fungus is contagious so be careful. If your condition is serious do seek medical advice but also be aware that prescription drugs have side effects, effects that even the medical professionals don’t have complete answers too, or don’t want to tell you about. Prescriptions are very expensive and may require a long term treatment that is enough to break anyone’s bank account especially if your don’t have medication insurance.

If you have medication insurance and your a diabetic, your insurance company may consider onychomycosis a medical condition, and will cover the treatment. Other medical insurance package may also cover treatment so be sure to ask before you seek treatment.

Other treatments to consider of course are topical treatments that have been shown to be highly effective and of course, safer than prescriptions. They are also very affordable which saves you allot of money especially if you cant really afford it or have no medical insurance. A safe topical should consist of only natural ingredients and should be easy to apply. Whatever product you decided on, make sure that you follow the instructions. If the product states that you should use it 3 times per week then make sure you do exactly that otherwise you may not see the results your expecting. Many people buy a product but don’t follow the recommended application then they wonder why its not working as well as it should.

Hopefully i have covered the things you should do here to treat your toenail fungus. To your success.

The Most Powerful Sweating Treatments Available For You Today!

If you’re wondering what the best sweating treatments that are available to you, there really is no one best method, it all depends on your particular case. For some who have a milder case of excessive sweating, a prescription antiperspirant may be enough to control the problem. For others, surgery is a risk they are willing to take to achieve an 80-90% reduction in their sweating. It’s all individual, but here we will go over a few more treatments which you can consider trying out.

Iontophoresis – Out of all the sweating treatments, this is one which has a high success rate, over 80%. It only works for sweating of the hands or feet though. What happens is you place your hands or feet in a shallow pan filled with water, where an electric current is passed through it. The electric current reacts with minerals in the water to form a protective barrier around your skin which works to prevent excess sweat from coming through. This treatment needs to be repeated though every other day initially. Eventually you can work you way up to having it only once a month though.

Out of all the sweating treatments, there is also the possibility of surgery as mentioned previously. The surgery is called ETS Endoscopic Thoracic Sympathectomy, it’s an option you only want to consider if you have an extreme case of sweating as it is very invasive and cannot be reversed. The other thing is complications such as compensatory sweating can develop, where your body begins to sweat more in other areas to make up for not sweating as much in your underarms.

Lastly, there are Botox injections. Botox injections work to intefere with your nerves ability to communicate with the sweat glands. If your nerves cannot tell your sweat glands to produce more sweat, you don’t sweat as much, it’s as simple as that, and the Botox works to disrupt that communication. Botox injections will last for about 6 to 12 months.

If you suffer from excessive sweating then you know how difficult it is to hide it from others. When you start to sweat you get nervous, you worry about who might be noticing. Unfortunately that makes matters worse, as you become nervous you start to sweat more. There has to be a treatment for excessive sweating. Something you can do to reduce the symptoms. This article will discuss how you can reduce the symptoms of excessive sweating, as well as why the condition exists.

Why you Sweat to much

There isn’t just one reason that a person might have over active sweating glands. It has been genetically linked, but it’s also linked to emotions, panic attacks, and nervousness. If you become extra nervous when you begin to sweat it can make the effects much worse. The first step in this case has to be to relax and exercise some emotional control. Take deep breaths, and focus you can control your emotions.

Consider your Wardrobe

Before you get dressed every morning think about what you’re going to wear in relevance to your excessive sweating condition. There are some fabrics you should not wear because they aren’t breathable, wool is a good example. Focus on cotton fabrics, and loose fitting clothes. This will allow your body to stay cool.

Some people wear under shirts to help soak up sweat through the day, this may or may not work for you. I suggest not wearing a plain white shirt, as it’s a target for sweating rings. They can become visible through out the day as you sweat and dry out.

Consider Natural methods to Treat Excessive Sweating

There are all natural treatments for excessive sweating. Most natural or holistic stores will carry a variety of items such as antiperspirants. These products work for some and not others. It really depends on how severe your sweating is. Some experts on the subject of natural medicine have actually come up with some supposed cures for the condition.

There are natural excessive sweating treatments. For example antiperspirants which are all natural are available at most natural health food stores. These are designed to reduce perspiration entirely. These work well depending on the severity of your hyperhidrosis.

There are two natural cures available, neither of them are published on any website online, both are sold as inexpensive ebooks. Each book offers a cure two get rid of excessive sweating permanently. Something I’m sure you and anyone else suffering from this condition would love to do. You can learn more about these permanent treatments at my website in the links below.

Vagina Health Tips for a Sweet Smell & Optimum Health

All women need to be aware of their vagina’s health. Keeping it healthy means you will avoid infections and also have a pleasant odor and the tips enclosed will ensure that you have optimum vagina health

A healthy vagina is home to a huge variety of minute organisms. Normally, they live harmoniously in an acidic environment that prevents the overproduction of any one species in the vagina and helps combat foreign bodies that can infect it.

Vaginal infections are common and occur when the delicate balance is disrupted can cause discomfort in the area and unpleasant smells.

Firstly, the health of a women’s Vagina and the smell are influenced by overall lifestyle, diet and weight.

If you follow the tips below you can ensure a healthy vagina so here they are:

1. Your Overall Diet

Eat a healthy diet. Cigarettes alcohol and drugs should be eliminated if you can or cut down, as should heavily spiced foods and junk food.

Try and eat as naturally as possible (food free of additives) and make sure you drink lots of water. What you put into your body comes out in its secretions and the vagina is the same. Ever noticed how your sweat smells differently after eating spiced food, then you will realize why this is so important.

2. Cleaning

Odor-producing bacteria can thrive on the vulva and need to be cleaned off regularly to prevent vaginal inflections and prevent odors.

Washing the genital area daily with a simple, fragrance-free soap is normally enough to keep the vagina area clean and fresh.

Your vagina self-cleans itself so douching is not required.

Furthermore, douching upsets the delicate balance between good and bad bacteria in the vaginal ecosystem and can actually be harmful.

Because infections such as yeasts are found in the intestine, it is important after going to the toilet to wipe front to back i.e. you need to wipe the vagina area first and the rectum last!

During sex it is also very important to avoid contamination of the vagina area with organisms and bodies from the bowel, or rectum area.

3. Clothes to wear

To prevent vaginal infections and keep your vagina healthy make sure your clothing allows the area to breath. To do this avoids tight garments and fabrics containing a high percentage of synthetic fibers such as nylon.

Remember, that tampons and diaphragms left for too long in the vagina can create a very strong unpleasant odor as well.

4. Safe sex

Finally, if you don’t know your partner very well, always Use a condom and a spermicidal to reduce the chances of infection and disease.

If you are unlucky enough to get an infection, the symptoms are outlined below of three of the most common ones.

The good news is that to reclaim a healthy vagina is easy, if you are alerted to the problem and take action.

1. Bacterial vaginosis

Bacterial vaginosis (BV) accounts for more than 50% of all vagina related health visits.

About half of all women with BV vaginal infections have no obvious symptoms.

The most common symptom is a thin, white to light grey discharge with an offensive fishy like smell that is extremely unpleasant.

The odor is strongest when the discharge is exposed to any alkaline substance and this includes soap and semen, it will therefore be at its strongest and most obvious after cleaning or sex.

BV is easy to treat and is normally treated by a course of antibiotics prescribed by a doctor.

2. Yeast

Although yeast infections are probably the most common type of vaginal infection, many women never bother to seek help.

Most simply recover naturally and others treat themselves with anti-fungal vaginal creams available without prescription from the chemist.

Symptoms of yeast infections include:

Vulvar itching combined with irritation in the vagina area and redness.

If the urinary opening becomes inflamed, urination will increase and discomfort will be present. If the infection is severe, the vulva will swell and fine breaks, called fissures occur. This causes vaginal discharges to become thicker and whiter.

Yeast infections are the result of excessive growth of a family of fungi that normally live in any healthy vagina, but when they increase the balance of the vagina is upset and problems occur.

The most common infection is vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC), which is usually caused by a fungus named Candida albicans.

There are two types of VVC:

Uncomplicated, a mild infection that responds to therapy. Or recurrent which, is more severe and often occurs in women who have diabetes or are infected with less treatable forms of yeast, such as Candida glabratia.

Recurrent VVC, normaly occurs more than four times a year and needs a long initial treatment of around two weeks and then a follow-up therapy course for up to 6 months or longer.

Certain factors are common causes such as nylon and Lycra clothing that traps heat and moisture, so be aware of our clothing tips for a healthy vagina we noted earlier.

Other common causes include:

Obesity, pregnancy, diabetes and suppression of the immune system during illnesses, the use of oral contraceptives, and eating excessive amounts of sugars, starch, and yeasts.

If you do have a yeast vaginal infection, your doctor will ordinarily treat you with either prescription or nonprescription antifungal creams and suppositories referred to earlier.

If you have a problem get professional help and you will soon have a healthy vagina. Do not ignore symptoms or think they will go away get help quickly.

3. Trichomoniasis

Trichomoniasis, or “trich,” is a sexually transmitted vaginal infection suffered by a huge amount of women worldwide and this runs into tens of millions. While infection with trichomoniasis can be uncomfortable, it is not in anyway a serious threat to overall health.

The symptoms are normally vulvar and vaginal burning and itching. The burning is normally at its height after intercourse.

In addition, there may be vulvar swelling and frequent and uncomfortable urination. There is a heavy vaginal discharge, usually yellowish or green, which may or may not have an offensive smell.

The trichomonad is a minute parasite. It has three tails at its narrow end and swims with them and the white blood cells of the body follow.

These blood cells literally chase down the trichomonad and kill it by eating it.

Symptoms occur only when the body’s natural defense are swamped by with sheer number of reproducing trichomonads and the white blood cells cannot cope.

Trichomoniasis is usually easily diagnosed and antibiotic treatment cures it in the majority of cases.

Follow the tips above for a healthy vagina and if you do have a problem don’t worry or be embarrassed simply seek help quickly and clear up the problem, in the vast majority of cases treatment is quick, easy and painless

Fall tips to avoid dry skin – Part 2

December 29, 2009 by anthony

That short time from mid September to November is possibly one of my favorite seasons. Fall. Brilliantly colored leaves, hot apple cider and cozy sweaters bring found memories of this magical season. But Fall’s crisp air can reek havoc on our skin. So, to ensure your face won’t end up looking like a fallen leaf follow these tips and you’ll be sure to stay looking your best all the way to Winter.

I accredit regular exfoliation to keeping a healthy glow. Exfoliating gently removes the layer of dead, dry skin cells leaving fresher skin below. Plus all the vigorous action boost circulation and open pores allowing treatments to absorb better.

If you skin is oily or acne prone, exfoliate 2 to 3 times per week. And look for a formula containing salicylic acid.

If skin is dry or sensitive exfoliate once a week. Opt for a formula with a creamy, moisturizing base. And sensitive types should look for a gentle exfoliation like those that say they contain beads.

All skin types need a little bit of added moisture in Fall’s crisp air.

Many people with oily do not believe their skins needs a moisturizer but it does, especially if using acne products that can dry skin. To avoid oil overload, choose a product that is oil-free and a light gel base. Start with a small amount and be sure not to over do it this will only make your skin appear oilier.

Dry and sensitiva skin will require a bit more moisture so you will want a thicker, cream-based formula. If skin is very dry you may also consider using a night cream, you’ll be sure to wake to a brighter fresh face.

Incorporate special treatments into your skin care regime based on your needs. A clay face mask that will clear pores for oily/acne prone skin. Dry and sensitive, look for a moisture boosting version.

If your complexion seems to be on the dull side look for products containing vitamin C, which will brighten skin and renew skin cells.

And of coarse be sure to drink plenty of water.
